I couldn't bring myself to go back to it, so I had to look up the synopsis of the book on google, and here's what I've gathered in a nutshell: That was about quarter of a way in, when I was so sickened I was just like "nah." So, as I mentioned, I gave up on this book. I hope this is true, and if so it's an actual crime to have Andrew's name even associated with this mess. Somebody mentioned to me that Virginia Andrews actually passed away shortly after the publication of the first book, and that the others are the work of a ghostwriter continuing her unfinished sequel and further ideas for the series. I don't understand how this is even the same author. Where to start with this book? How about the fact that it disgusted me so much I abandoned it? To obtain the Saddle, make your way up the mountains South of the Highland Stable, either taking the long road or climbing the hills South to the Lake of the Horse God and crossing the bridge to Malanya Spring. Use Magnesis to pull the embedded chest out of the ground to claim it.
